This tutorial presents an overview of RF and mm-wave power-ampliﬁer (PA) designs in silicon, focusing on the design fundamentals. Hua Wang is a full professor at Dept. of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at ETH Zurich. Prior to that, he worked at Intel Corporation and Skyworks Solutions. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, in 2007 and 2009, respectively.
